Corina Corina Reworked Vintage by Taylor Made Launch Party

My good friend Ella (the one on the left!) owns a fantastic little shop called Corina Corina.. she sells vintage, retro and preloved designer clobber!

Her and Rebecca of Taylor Made have had a a light bulb moment to make a collection of one off pieces of reworked vintage. The idea being that you may find a dress with the most gorgeous fabric but due to the cut of the dress you would never in a million years wear it. The girls decided that its a shame that these pieces go to the back of most peoples wardrobes or are thrown out due to the old fashioned cut.

Becky being a total genius with fabric and a trained wedding dress maker (talented people make me feel a little jealous!) have turned these muted gems into the most amazing sparklers...

These dresses are well and truly one offs! For those of you who are aware of your environmental impact reworked vintage will sit well with your ethos of reuse, recycle and generally saving the world!

The launch night went fabulously well with guests kindly staggering their arrival! (small shops and lots of people are not conjucive to shopping!) Poor Ella had a few issues earlier in the week, one of which her photographer pulling out because of a family bereavement... we managed to avoid crisis by roping in the wonderful Andy of B72 imaging who was an utter star! Ella laid on cupcakes and French fancies plus the obligatory bubbly! (yay bubbly!) A good chunk of the collection was sold on the night... Now Becky has to be chained to her machine until it is replenished with fabulous things!

Keep your eyes peeled on her website and you can also follow them both on twitter... You can always call Ella as shes just flipping fab (can you tell shes a bessie mate??)

Being a bit useless!

Right.... I decided to delete all my previous posts as they were rubbish and very cringe worthy!

I have millions of bits to talk about the last week.... Thursday (A week ago) I did and event at G Casino in Coventry in aid of Marie Curie Cancer care! We raised over £350 whichwas fantastic and a good night was had by all (including my dad who came to "help" and ended up borrowing £30 as he decided to have a flutter!)

blog posts to follow about corina corinas reworked Vintage launch, london fashion weekend, and a photoshoot with the Miss Coventry Finalists!
